Trans Girl War Songs

A collection of poetry written by Storey Lorelei Campbell

This book was assembled from four years of work. It coalesces writing about my own exploration of gender, my transition, survival in an increasingly dangerous world, and how we as a community relate to each other and our shared experience. It explores the ways in which we love uniquely, the ways that our love ends, and how we cope with it.

For trans people and specifically trans women, this collection aims to be a light in these dark times, and a reminder that we are not alone as we have each other. For others, this is a guide. Use it to understand the threat that we are under. Let it bring you closer to your trans loved ones. For those who aren't sure where they are yet, if this collection found you and you see yourself in it: let this be the sign you have been waiting for.

Physical Release and File Information

It is my hope to eventually self-publish this collection as a physical book. To that end, I've decided to release this version in the hopes that it will help make that goal reality, by raising the necessary funds to purchase the ISBN and pay for print costs.

About the Author

Storey is a poet, writer, and software developer from central Massachusetts. She's been writing poetry since she was small, alongside science fiction short stories and half-formed and quarter-executed novels. She has a passion for technology and video games, heart-wrenching narratives and unique characters, and new experiences and travel. When she isn't gaming with friends and partners, you'll probably find her screaming her heart out at open mics and poetry readings. You can read more of her work here.
