Spellcasting: A Grimoire

A collection of poetry written by Storey Lorelei Campbell

This collection has been assembled from work produced staring down the barrel of the United State's accelerated descent into fascism. It coalesces an era of writing "how-to" poems, meant to deliver the lessons so that others may learn them without the same pain. The poems in this collection are spells, powerful and mystical, created so that you may find your own magic.

For trans people and specifically trans women, this collection aims to be a light in these dark times, and a reminder that we are not alone as we have each other. For others, this is a guide. Use it to understand the threat that we are under. Let it bring you closer to your trans loved ones. For those who aren't sure where they are yet, if this collection found you and you see yourself in it: let this be the sign you have been waiting for.

About the Author

Storey is a poet, writer, and software developer from central Massachusetts. She's been writing poetry since she was small, alongside science fiction short stories and half-formed and quarter-executed novels. She has a passion for technology and video games, heart-wrenching narratives and unique characters, and new experiences and travel.
